Enterprise teams on Upwork were splitting attention across separate reporting tools. The work brought them under one design language, so the data behind decisions sat in one place.

The setup

One product.

Reports lived across separate teams and separate patterns. Switching between them meant relearning where things sat.

I gathered every report, broke each into components, and sorted what was shared from what was custom. For each customization I asked whether an existing pattern could carry the job. From those iterations came one layout the whole set could share: scalable for new reports, maintainable for the teams that owned them.

Owners across teams had to land on the same proposal. Same chrome top to bottom: filters in the same corner, exports in the same corner, data laid out where the report calls for it. The reader changes from page to page. The chrome does not.

Tables scale to the data with pagination at the bottom handling the volume. The page no longer fights the rows.

Visual reading hierarchy

Title, filters, table, pagination read in a predictable order. The eye lands where the next decision sits.
