Legacy system modernization

Tasked with transforming a 30-year-old solution supporting critical business processes, I led the redesign of a legacy system into a modern web application. Originally constrained by file-based data storage and a keyboard-only interface, the existing setup limited user efficiency and scalability. Through user interviews, I gathered insights into pain points and workflow preferences, allowing us to prioritize intuitive navigation and decision-making support. In the new design, users can easily access orders, invoices, and discrepancies from a streamlined left navigation menu and utilize search and filters to refine results. We emphasized brand compliance, accessibility, and modern web standards to ensure a seamless and scalable experience that minimizes user input while maximizing clarity.
